Cuer, Instructor & Demonstration Registration Terms

By submitting this registration, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

Music

All music used for workshops, cueing or demonstrations must be legitimately obtained from an authorised source. Unauthorised copies, ripped music, illegally downloaded music or music otherwise obtained without the appropriate rights must not be used.

Where requested, instructors, cuers and demonstration coordinators must provide the ACA with details of the music being used and/or a copy of the music file for programming purposes by the nominated deadline.

The ACA reserves the right to decline the use of music where its source or suitability cannot be established.

Instructors

Instructors agree to:

• teach the workshop and level allocated by the Convention Programming Committee;

• provide an accurate and complete cuesheet by the requested deadline;

• provide any music or other information requested for programming purposes by the nominated deadline;

• advise the Programming Committee as soon as possible if they are unable to teach their allocated workshop;

• keep their workshop within the allocated time; and

• follow any programming or technical instructions provided by the Convention Committee.

Submission of an instructor registration does not guarantee the allocation of a workshop. Workshop selection and scheduling remain at the discretion of the Convention Programming Committee.

Cuers

Cuers agree to:

• cue at the times and sessions allocated to them;

• cue the version of the dance shown on the published cuesheet;

• ensure they are familiar with the routines they have agreed to cue;

• keep cueing clear, appropriate and consistent with the advertised level of the dance; and

• advise the Programming Committee as soon as possible if they are unable to fulfil an allocated cueing session.

Cueing allocations and schedules remain at the discretion of the Convention Programming Committee and may be adjusted where necessary.

Demonstrations

All demonstrations must be registered and approved by the Convention Committee before being included in the program.

Demonstration coordinators are responsible for:

• providing the requested demonstration details and music by the nominated deadline;

• ensuring all performers are aware of the performance arrangements;

• ensuring the demonstration remains within the allocated time;

• ensuring music and presentation are appropriate for a National Convention audience; and

• advising the Convention Committee promptly of any changes or cancellations.

Submission of a demonstration registration does not guarantee inclusion in the program. The Convention Committee reserves the right to determine the number, length and scheduling of demonstrations.

Programming

The Convention Committee may make changes to workshop, cueing and demonstration schedules where required. While every effort will be made to communicate changes in advance, program allocations and times may be adjusted to meet the overall needs of the Convention.
